How we listen to music in 2014

This diagram shows us how the way we consume music changes over time. We have gone from records and stereos to CD's and now it is downloading music online.

People are downloading more and more songs online this varies from people downloading them off of YouTube and converting them onto iTunes and people buying them off of iTunes and that is how they then get played on the radio. So we need to make sure that we put a link to Grace's song and the music video on iTunes so people can view it and download it to listen to.

The Charts

What I noticed about the number ones in the UK was that almost all the artists are young and fresh and recent. I then compared this to our artist Grace Starr and we all agreed that she would fit perfectly into this category as she is fashionable, stylish and is a good singer that produces fresh songs. Her audience would be similar to Ella Henderson's, teenage girls and young women but she would also attract the boys by her singing, her look and attractive figure. This would also benefit our star into getting more fans too. 

 

 

 

Looking at the variety of songs on this list shows that if our artist on her second album decided to change the beat of the music and went for a different style she would still fit in because the variety on the top 40 is immense.
